WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Have we told you enough times that the DP ride is TOUGH?!? We are not exaggerating when we tell you that this is the toughest, minimally supported, charity 'fun-ride' you will ever find... anywhere. Truth! The 2019 version will be just as tough as all the previous rounds - this year we're giving riders a 'Ripcord' version (there's the option for 1 to 3 'short-cuts' to be taken off the full route) if you forgot to eat your Wheaties day of - so start your training early.

The 2019 Dirty Project full ride covers 102.9 miles of some of the most beautiful, scenic by-ways in rural Vermont - 80 miles of which are un-paved dirt roads - and with over 10,600 feet of total elevation gain, this truly is a ride like no other. And as such it simply isn't everyone's cup of tea!

The entire route is in Vermont passing thru Hartford, Quechee, Woodstock, Pomfret, Sharon, Strafford, West Fairlee, Thetford and Norwich. Once again there will be 5 or 6 'soft' SAG stops along the route (details on these will be posted closer to the day) where you'll be able to refuel, plus roving support vehicles provided by FullSquish Industries and Cowbell Mobile Bike Shop, and a handful of loyal and loving roadies who just want to see you survive the ride - but the emphasis is on self-sufficiency and true grit! Be prepared to be your bad-ass self!

The 2019 routes are available on Ride with GPS (here's the Ripcord version). Take a look at it - closely - and feel free to ask questions about the ride before you decide to sign up.
